WILD LIGHTS AT DUBLIN ZOO

The Wild Lights return to Dublin Zoo! This year the audience will be taken on a magical trip around the world to visit important global landmarks. Embark on this exciting journey and visit famous sights from all the continents which you’ll be able to explore ancient Egypt Pyramids, Eiffel Tower and even outer space, all through stunning displays of giant silk lanterns including a one-way trail with over a thousand of them.

DUBLIN DANCE FESTIVAL

2nd - 27th Nov

The Dublin Dance Festival celebrates and welcomes the audience back into the theatre with live dance performances in this special winter edition with internationally renowned groups and choreographers. Names like Maguy Marin, Liz Roche Company and Catherine Young.

‘’Witness the powerfully theatrical May B by renowned French choreographer Maguy Marin, and experience three premieres from award-winning Irish artists, including an ambitious collaboration between Liz Roche Company and Crash Ensemble; a bold retelling of an ancient Greek myth by dance innovators Junk Ensemble; and an immersive glimpse into life in Palestine from Catherine Young Dance.’’

DUBLIN BOOK FESTIVAL

8th - 15th Nov

Dublin Book Festival is a gathering of authors, illustrators, poets and book lovers coming together to celebrate their love for the written words. The program includes workshops, storytelling sessions, walk tours, talks and lectures in various locations around the city. All ages welcome.

WINTER LIGHTS FESTIVAL

In Its third year the Winter Lights festival promises to bring even more locations to light with artworks of citizens and artists projected on several landmarks around the city. Last year locations included City Hall, GPO ,Hugh Lane Gallery, Mansion House on Dawson Street, Trinity College, Millennium Bridge, Parliament Street and the Samuel Beckett Bridge among others. This year a few more locations are expected. Projections are turned in the evenings transforming buildings into live canvas.

NEW YEAR EVE FESTIVAL

31st Dec

Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Dublin with Ireland’s biggest NYE celebration. Join locals and tourists, as we ring in the New Year together with some great countdown concerts and the spectacular Liffey Midnight Moment. Expect great entertainment, magnificent fireworks and continued celebration on the 1st of January. Not sure what to expect? Check out this video of the 2019/2020 event. Most events take place at the Custom House or Temple bar, all walking distance from the Arthaus Hotel.

JANUARY

TRADFEST TEMPLE

26th - 30th January

As a celebration of Irish and traditional music the TradFest brings a lively programme contemplating artists, musicians and singers with concerts in historic locations around the city including St Patrick's Cathedral, Pepper Canister Church, Collins Barracks. National Stadium among others. The festival is a great opportunity to immerse into the very musical Irish culture and experience the amazing energy of Dublin City.
