While one may think January is a quiet month in the entertainment industry, Dublin proves that there’s a lot to do and see around the city. This highlights of this month include the TradFest in Temple Bar showcasing old and new generations of Trad musicians, the Comic Con winter edition at the RDS, and the pop famous Lewis Capaldi returning to Dublin with new material after a short career break.

This month kicks off one of the largest rugby events for the Irish Rugby team with the commencement of the Six Nations tournament on the 4th of February. The first match will be hosted in Dublin on the 11th, at the Aviva Stadium. June is Pride month and the busiest one within the city event’s calendar. It gives many reasons to plan a trip to Dublin. Summer is all about music, festivals and the outdoors. Have a look at the traditional 'Taste of Dublin', the 'International Music Chamber Festival' and Forbidden Fruit line ups. The 'metal heads' will have a great time with concerts from Ozzy Osbourne (10 June) and Iron Maiden (24 June). Other highlights include the LGBTQI+ Pride Festival celebrating its 40th year and the traditional Pride Parade on Saturday the 24th.

``Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes has added a Dublin date at 3Arena to his 2022 “Wonder: The World Tour”, which will include 64 arena dates spanning across North America, the UK, and Europe. His 3Arena show will now take place on 1st August 2023. The tour, which begins in Copenhagen, Denmark on March 14, 2022, follows Shawn’s most recent album Wonder - which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, making Mendes one of three male artists ever to score four #1 albums by 22 years old – as well as his new hit single, “Summer of Love” with Tainy.’’
